Middle East mine sites, from extraction to loading
We work long-term with mines across Egypt, Jordan and the Middle East, stepping in at the extraction stage to show you exactly where your material comes from and how it is loaded.

Where these photos were taken: two origin areas
Choosing a mineral from photographs is a common procurement mistake. Origin determines ore structure, mining method, loading conditions and delivered cost. We describe each origin alongside the photos so that what you see lines up with the actual source when you enquire and compare offers.
Egypt: the sedimentary belt on the Red Sea coast
Egyptian phosphate is concentrated along the Red Sea coast around Safaga and Newabaia, where the belt runs parallel to the shoreline. These sedimentary deposits are relatively stable with controllable grade, making Egypt the most mature seaborne source in the Middle East. Loading centres on Safaga; mining rights sit with a few large operators and exports are managed by national policy. With tighter control on high-grade mining in recent years, confirm the current status of source and export qualification before contracting.
Jordan: a steady supplementary source
Jordanian phosphate is valued for steady availability, which gains importance when Egyptian export management tightens. For plants running continuously, Jordan's value often lies in reliable arrival rather than a lower price. Evaluate it on the same basis — grade range, CaO/MgO ratio and impurity ceilings — and compare against an Egyptian option using your own delivered-cost model.
From mine to vessel: what photographs do not show
Photographs show stockpile shape, loading method and yard conditions, but what really decides whether a cargo is usable and arrives on time sits outside the frame: agreed grade and secondary indicators, sampling and inspection arrangements, loading window confirmation, and whether the shipping documents are complete. These are written into the contract item by item, and we will explain them before you sign.
Why we source directly at origin
Intervening at the mining end is not only about removing a layer of trading margin. It means a steadier source, controllable grade and delivery, and traceability back to a specific mine when something goes wrong. For a buyer, that certainty is often worth more than a price gap.
